Pencoyd Christmas 2007: Sadly, the church was hit by a power cut on the day of the Carol Service, so (although the service went ahead at Tretire instead) many people did not get the opportunity to see the church decorated for Christmas! John and Margaret Oubridge have submitted these pictures to remedy that.

Garway Through The Ages - Saturday 7th October
Well over 100 people came along on a beautiful autumn day to the ancient chirch of St Michael at Garway. The day was organised by Caring For God's Acre and people from the local churches as a culmination of the summer Churchyard projects.

Dry Stone Walling Event at St Weonards - 6th/7th May 2006
Thanks to Caring for God's Acre and the European Social Fund, our damaged wall has been repaired and 16 adults
have had training in the techniques by the British Trust for Convervation Volunteers at the same time.

Many thanks to everyone involved, for hard work, organisation, teaching, last minute supplies of stone, cups of tea and lots more.
The wall will stand as a reminder of a great weekend and a lot of hard work and good fun.

Plough Service (29th January 2006) at Garway
There are over 50 working farms in our area and our Plough Service recognises the work of our farmers and gives us the opportunity to pray for the forthcoming season, just as our harvest festival celebrates the harvest. This year's Plough Service included a procession from the pub to the church, where the plough was carried in and blessed. After the service, many of the congregation walked the (uphill) mile back to the pub for refreshments.

Christmas 2005
We were welcomed at Church Farm St Weonards to visit the stable where the lambs and calves were on show and "Mary and baby Jesus" were sharing their accommodation! What a wonderful evening!
