Situated
in one of the most beautiful parts of the most rural
Diocese in England, this is a lively, forward looking group of
parishes and communities. Whether you're a local or a visitor - and
you'll find us very welcoming - this website helps to keep you in touch with what's going on.A forthcoming highlight is our annual "Service in the Woods" where we not only celebrate together but bring along pets and farm animals too! There are photos of many of our previous special events on our pictures and archive pages. You'll find all our churches open every day - there are some stunning things to be seen both inside and outside the churches and visitors are always welcome. Come and join us at any of our regular and one-off events, for worship on Sundays or at one of our quiet services of healing and meditation. Meditation - being silent and opening ourselves to God - is an ancient Christian way of praying, and our meditation service on the first Tuesday of every month is open to anybody of any faith or none. We meet in the lovely little church at Orcop, where there is gentle music, some words of introduction and lots of candlelit silence. No singing, no chatting, just a time of quiet and peace. Next: 1st July 7.30pm. Check back regularly - this site is (we hope) always fairly up to date! |

Mystery Play
We're going to be involved in a county-wide project to put
on
Mystery Plays this coming winter, with professional guidance. We're
looking for people who'd like to be involved as actors, musicians,
backstage crew, costume, whatever! Contact the vicar for details (see
contacts page).
Service
in the Woods
This year it's on 27th July in Werndee Woods (halfway
between St Weonards and Garway) at 10.30am.
The
Plant Stall is back
Every year our plant stall outside St Weonards Church is a
great
place to buy (and donate) seedlings, plants, flowers etc. All
the
proceeds go to Water Aid.
St
Weonards Church
goes green(er)!
As plans develop to improve the facilities in St Weonards Church,
including disabled access and kitchen and toilet areas, there are also
plans to continue and extend the commitment to be environmentally
responsible. Details on the St
Weonards Church pages soon.
The DVD
is here! We've filmed events around our parishes and
communities over
the
last couple of years, and now the DVD is available! View a short extract here. To
purchase, ask in the shops
and the churches or see the contacts
page. £5 (plus p&p where applicable)
