Some current NapKenya projects

Here we give examples of what can be achieved for varying donations

EDUCATION PROJECT

NapKenya in primary and secondary schools and other institutions help the poorest children to achieve education through provision of bursary and provision of material to construct classroom and other essential premises.

£15: buy 100 baked bricks and one bag of cement which provide a single course of one wall in the school Classroom . (2000 bricks and 100 bags of cement complete One Classroom )

£17: provide a chair and a desk table to a Pupil/Students

£35 a year will provide a child in primary school with fees, school uniform, books and all equipments they need to complete a year education.

£150 a year provide a poorest student with secondary school fees bursary to complete a year education.

£250 a year provide a poor student bursary support for college and university .

Material Provision of computers for a training Centre as well as to 10 secondary schools with electricity but have no a computer and do wish to teach computer subject (Course) and to have access to the internet. We also need lighting at Njarange primary school that as from 21 May 2000 began a boarding facility for the senior classes in order to enable pupils to have more time for study.

WATER PROJECT

£10: provide 5 one inch pipes to a family to connect water from the main pipe line.

£10: provide 10 inches and 20 fts long water pipe for piping enough water supply for domestic and irrigation farming from the river/dams water sources to alleviate famine caused by continuous drought .

£100: extends main water pipeline for a distance of 70metres.

£2500: provide a village of 1000 people with a 50 000 litres water storage tank.

£500: provide a water pump to supply water for domestic use and irrigation farming to 100 farmers - a strategy towards alleviation of famine and poverty.

HEALTH PROJECT

£8: provide a treated mosquito net to prevent malaria attack.

£20: provide a medical package doze to treat the deadly typhoid and amoebic dysentery disease.

£10: help to provide best drugs for malaria the killer disease.

RELIEF PROJECT

£20: provide 90 kg bag of corn maize feed one family for two months.

£40: provide a bag of beans feed a desperate family for two months.

WELFARE

£80: provide a roofing material of a 4 roomed house to a family living in one to two roomed grass thatch shelter.

£100: offer a minimum revolving loan for micro-economic enterprises to a needy small scale business women and men - a support towards generation of income to alleviate poverty.

OTHER PROJECTS oriented to the strategy towards alleviation of poverty include Micro-Finance, Population, Agriculture and Environment and animal Welfare/health project.

Education Project

• Bursary fund for primary, secondary, college and University education for poor pupils and students and for Christian worker’s training.

• Provision of school premises construction materials and furnitures.

• Provision of Text books and other school equipments.

• Computer facilities for those schools which have electricity supply.

• Cybercafe for the internet access
