An exhibition at St Weonards
Church on Valentine's Day included wedding dresses from the early 20th
century right up to the present day, plus photographs of the weddings
of many local people, including one couple who have been married for
over 60 years and another for less than one year!

2009's Service in the Wood: over 80
people came to Werndee Woods on Sunday 30th August for our annual
celebration of nature and thanksgiving for our animals. This year, we
had many dogs, a tortoise, a parrot and more - oh, and even a horse (on
a mobile phone photo!) - the vicar blessed them all - but she's not
100% sure whether this is the first time a mobile phone has been
blessed! Thanks to the BODS charity for their hospitality and Adam and Sarah for use of their field for parking!

New cushions at St
Weonards: A great community effort was crowned on May 4th
when new cushions - made by over 40 members of the community - were
finally displayed in the church. Artist-designer Nicky Hopwood praised
the efforts of everyone involved, and a packed church was
delighted by the results of all the hard work.
