Living in Love and Faith

Monday 9 November saw the launch of the Church of England's publications on identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage: Living in Love and Faith. Resources are available online alongside a book and discussion materials for small groups. Bishop Richard has welcomed the publication of these resources in his recent statement, saying that he hopes many people will engage with them after Easter 2021 when we should be able to meet once again in person.

Bishop Richard urges us to keep in mind six pastoral principles to guide our conversations:

1. Acknowledge prejudice
2. Speak into silence
3. Address our ignorance
4. Cast out our fear
5. Admit our hypocrisy
6. Pay attention to the dynamics of power.
