Ecumenical service Garway Community Centre (Sept 2019)

It was lovely to see lots of friendly faces at our ecumenical service at The Garway Community Centre this afternoon. Our theme was 'caring for God's creation' and we heard about the brilliant Eco Church initiative run by A Rocha UK. Stephen Herbert talked about the scheme and shared a short film produced by the Diocese of Hereford, and encouraged churches in the area to join the scheme to demonstrate and celebrate the many different ways they already care for God's earth, as well as take practical action in response to the climate crisis. Some of the children helped build a 'bug hotel' which we hope will be enjoyed by a variety of invertebrates in the months ahead!
