Variety in prayer

Iin this week's video, Bishop Richard returns to the some themes about prayer that he has found helpful.  "There is 'no one size fits all' in our prayer life.  Not only that, but our lives go through seasons as we grow and change."

He contrinues: "Sometimes [I use] a prayer I learned from Dr Larry Crabb, the 'PAPA' prayer.  This is a simple mnemonic to focus on relationship with God:

P stands for Present -- present yourself to God
A = Attend -- to how you are thinking of God
P = Purge -- purge yourself of anything blocking your relationship with God
A = Approach -- resolve to Approach God as the first thing in your life.  "Is God our most valuable treasure, or something else?  I find this particularly challenging."
